“Just before we went to press, R Experience spoke to Riviera’s new product development manager Neil McCabe about the progress of the new 53 Enclosed Flybridge.
Currently in stage one, the new 53 Enclosed Flybridge is expected to move into stage two by the end of March.
The hull and deck have been joined, windscreens and bathrooms put in, and the cabinetry is well underway.
“The main engineering room has all major parts finished and the final templates are being made for the galley bench,” Neil said.
“The flybridge is starting to be fitted out separately. The wiring looms and air-conditioning is being fitted into the flybridge saloon.”
A sea trial is scheduled for the end of March to test the engineering and see how it performs before it moves into Fit Out 2.
The 53 Enclosed Flybridge is due for completion a few days before its world release at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
Riviera has already received 12 orders ‘off the plan’ for this exciting new flybridge from enthusiasts in Australia and the US.
“We have already had a number of customers place deposits and the owners of the 53/04 have reviewed the boat and they were delighted with it,” Neil said.
The new 53 Enclosed Flybridge will make its world debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show held May 19-22.”

Bryce & Lisa Little were married August 21, 2010 at Royal Victoria Yacht Club. Greg Andrew of Van Isle Marina ran their new Riviera yacht down to Bryce the morning of their wedding as a surprise for Lisa, as he thought it would be a great back drop for their wedding photos. They purchased the boat a few weeks before their wedding and spent their honeymoon aboard up in Desolation Sound.
